Mamie Smith

I had the wonderful opportunity to create a commemorative poster of an influential blues singer, Mamie Smith, which would then be hung at the Black Prairie Blues Museum in West Point, MS. Mamie Smith's remarkable talent and natural charisma on stage made her an iconic figure in the world of blues. Those who knew her called her a classy and elegant lady, which I drew inspiration from for the bold, romantic font of her name and the otherwise minimalistic, clean design of the poster.
